Cake Smash & Splash Sessions

Cake Smashes are a great and super fun way to celebrate that all important milestone of your baby turning one! Not keen on smashing up a cake? No problem, we can do a birthday shoot without the cake if you would prefer!

How does a Cake Smash Session work?

Well we start the shoot with a few fun birthday shots where you can dress your little one in a nice clean outfit and capture some beautiful portraits. 

Next, we move on to the messy bit! This is where we introduce the cake and capture the fun of your little one potentially tasting cake for the very first time. Some babies like to go mad and smash their cake to pieces and some babies are more interested in eating as much cake as they can, whichever way it’s sure to be fun! 

For the final part of the session, I’ll have a quick clean up and this is where we introduce the bath and bubbles! Babies love a splash in the bath, and is a great way of cleaning up baby after as well as adding some extra cute photos to your gallery.

Around 1-2 weeks after your session, you’ll be sent an online viewing gallery where you can select your images. I have a range of digital packages available, where you can select as many images as you wish, with packages from just £49.99.

I recommend scheduling these sessions around 2 weeks before babies birthday so I have more than enough time to edit before the big day. If we need a quicker turn around time please just let me know and I’ll always do my best to accommodate.

Colour Scheme / Themes

We can decide on a colour scheme together and discuss your backdrop set up. I’ve got a variety of set ups and i’m really happy to work with you and create a bespoke colour scheme or theme. 

If you would like a balloon garland as part of your backdrop, i’ve teamed up with Mimi & Moo who can design some fantastic colour schemes for you and are £20 - £25 depending on the design. You can also take these home with you after your session and these will last for 2-3 weeks, perfect for continuing the celebrations at home!

Cake

I’ve teamed up with two amazing cake suppliers ‘Bake Me Crazy’ and ‘Home Made Cakes by Juliet’ and together we’ve designed some beautiful and tasty 6 inch cakes for you to choose from. These are available in a variety of colours and start from £30. Both cake suppliers can cater for any specific dietary requirements or allergies which we can discuss when choosing your cake. 

You are also more than welcome to bring your own cake!
